Our Services:

We are grateful for the support of both our donors and volunteers. Since WHA was formed in 1991 to collect medical supplies to help the Kurdish children of Iraq, we have been collecting warehousing and distributing humanitarian aid to many people in great need. We have shipped to such places as El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Macedonia and New Orleans Lower 9th. Ward (following Katrina).

Collecting Supplies and Money:

WHA will arrange to pick up medical supplies, school supplies, bicycles, etc., and transport them to the WHA warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. Monetary donations are used to pay shipping costs, both to the warehouse and to the recipients.

We always need:

New or Gently Used Tools (both hand tools and power tools), Wheel Chairs & Walkers, Mountain Bikes & Back Packs for Rural Health Care Workers, Sports Equipment (including ping pong tabes with paddles, balls and nets), Chess Sets, School Supplies, Power Generators, Office Equipment (Including manual or electric typewriters), Fans (ceiling or free-standing), Sewing Machines (also thread and cloth) and Small (Current Generation) Refrigerators.

If you have any of these items or know of a source of them, please let us know.

Warehousing:

Thanks to Bob Ness of ODW Logistics, Columbus, Ohio, WHA maintains a warehouse location where supplies may be accumulated from various sources until sufficient quantities have been gathered to provide economically viable shipments.

Shipping:

Once supplies are accumulated and recipients are identified and their needs established, WHA arranges for the packing and shipping of their supplies. In this process, WHA also fulfills the paperwork requirements of the various governments and their agencies.
